Experimental study on ultra-low raw emissions in diesel/methanol dual fuel engine based on dual-loop EGR

In this paper, an experimental investigation on achieving ultra-low raw emissions in a diesel/methanol dual fuel engine based dual-loop EGR was carried out. The effect of (High pressure and low EGR) the combustion, performance methanol has been studied comprehensively. results show that NO x (<0.4g/kWh) PM (<10 mg/kWh) can be achieved simultaneously diesel with help EGR. combustion phase is delayed increase rate both modes. However, equivalence ratio cylinder temperature high mode are significantly higher than those mode. Therefore, CO THC obviously lower efficiency brake thermal 1.9% 9.6% mode, respectively.
